Non-point pollution reduction facilities
Non-point pollution reduction facilities
Non-point pollution source refers to pollutants distributed over unspecified points instead of a specific point (specific pollution source) and discharged through transportation and drainage systems due to rainfall. >It refers to pollutants discharged together with rainfall effluent usually during rainfall, such as fertilizer and pesticide sprayed on farmland, deposition of air pollutants, sedimentary pollutants on ground surface and pollutants within combined sewer overflows and places that generate such non-point pollutants are called non-point pollution source.
Automatic non-point pollution reduction device
Overview
Initial stormwater with high pollution level during rainfall flows into the primary settling tank for earth and sand to be deposited and after it is transferred to the treatment tank by automatic flow regulator, fine Suspended Solids (SS) are filtered by multi-filters while Dissolved Solids (DS) are adsorbed for removal and after rainfall ends, it is automatically discharged and cleaned
Characteristics
  • Fast and convenient installation so interference with other processes is minimized
  • Non-powered filter system of pre-treatment process
  • Various medium can be selected depending on the characteristics of inflow water quality
  • Outstanding non-point pollutant treatment efficiency
  • Small land area required for construction and it can be adjusted depending on site conditions
  • Convenient maintenance and the medium in use can be used semi-permanently so the maintenance cost is saved following management cycle
Field of application
  • New urban development region
  • Port and bridge
  • Tourism complex
  • Rail and airport
  • Plant site and apartment complex
Non-point pollutant filtration device
Overview
Device that reduces non-point pollutants by filtering through filtering agents such as sand and soil after collecting rainfall effluent in a sump
Characteristics
  • Purifies pollutant by passing through filtration layer based on upstream type of filtration method
  • Stable and high efficiency
  • Contributes to suppressing floods by controlling peak flow and can be installed by utilizing space beside roads
  • Underground space can be utilized by using for other purposes such as parking lot and park at the ground part
  • Highly efficient management of rainfall effluent at low cost
Field of application
  • New urban development region
  • Port and bridge
  • Tourism complex
  • Rail and airport
  • Plant site and apartment complex
